Research Participation: Technology and change in postal services – impacts on consumers

Last  year we took part in a research to study study current technologicalUK Postal Services
developments in the postal market and how it is going to create potential future impact of various technologies and innovations in the UK.

The study was conducted by WIK-Consult and ITA Consulting on behalf of Citizens
Advice between September and November 2015, using a mix of desk research, expert
interviews and own analysis.

This was an interesting opportunity to relay information we have gathered over our past few years consulting.
The report concludes that technology is going to improve postal service but this will only happen if the consumers has all the tools and knowledge necessary to access the service. It also alarms the benefit will stay within the urban areas and rural areas will continue to be in disadvantaged.
